Basic Obedience Course

Course content:
 
The following topics will be covered in the private (in-home) portion of this course:
-Training and pet ownership basics (such as our process and terms we will use throughout the course)
-Sit
-Recall (coming when called)
-Lay down
-Focus
-Wait
-Loose Leash Walking
-Door Boundary/Safety
-Advocating for your Dog
* If your dog has any undesired behaviors, we will need to resolve them during private classes before they begin group classes. 
 
The following topics will be covered in the group (public) portion of this course:
-Body language and social cues
-Focus on handler with distractions
-Relaxing around strangers
-Greeting friendly strangers
-Walking with distractions
-Walking politely in a group
 
After the group portion of this course ends, all dogs will attend a final exam and graduation!
 
Anyone who pushes for unwanted interactions will only receive one warning. Please alert your trainer if another classmate is trying to force your dogs to greet each other when the trainer is not present. After this point, any further inappropriate behavior will result in immediate removal from the training program. No refund will be available if the course is terminated due to inappropriate behavior of any kind from the client. You are all here to grow; please be respectful toward your peers!
